Gartner’s Top 25 List Rewards Autonomous Workforce Creation

MHI member Schneider Electric once again sits at the apex of Gartner’s Global Supply Chain Top 25 list.  This is the fourth consecutive year that the provider of power, control and automation products has secured the top spot.

In a press release, Gartner praised Schneider Electric for “integrating autonomous workforce capabilities and end-to-end resource orchestration across its operations.”  Gartner noted that many Top 25 companies had differentiated themselves by “redesigning how work gets done. Employees are increasingly managing, governing and improving intelligent systems, while also being augmented by them in day-to-day decision making and execution.”

Network centricity was another supply chain macro trend that Gartner identified as crucial for leading supply chains. Amid today’s turbulent environment, Gartner stated: “The ability to flex within the network as needed and continuously re-evaluate your footprint as conditions change is a vital competitive advantage.”

The 2026 list also reflects the growing supply chain sophistication of technology and semiconductor companies. NVIDIA, whose head of industrial digital twins was recently profiled in an MHI Solutions article, ranked second. Cisco Systems (#4), Lenovo (#7), Microsoft (#10), Dell Technologies (#17), HP Inc. (#22) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (#23) also earned spots on the list. The strong showing underscores how AI-driven demand has forced technology companies to build world-class supply chains.
